Post them here. I'll eventually get another development sprint going with updates, fixes, etc

Hello… So, I downloaded version 1.0 a couple of years ago and have been checking for updates every so often. Every time I would do a check for update, it says no updates available however I noticed it says that I am on version 1.10. Cool, so it appears that I have the latest version which apparently is image 2.1.
My question is, have the versions of the programs like trunk recorder and rtl-airband been upgraded automatically in the newest image? Or are the versions still the same in image 2.1 as they were in the original image?
My assumption is that the programs like trunk recorder and rtl-airband and are not getting upgraded due to the fact that they need to be re-compiled.
Basically, I’m trying to determine if downloading a fresh 2.1 image would get me newer versions of these programs or not.

Thank you.

There haven't been any updates to the software components since then. I'll see if I can update the release notes of the image Wiki page.

You are also free to download the latest versions of rtl_airband your self.

I am using this setup and it works great, until shortly before 7am on Fridays. Then I get a notice from Broadcastify that my stream is offline, even though the utility on the Pi says it's still streaming. I have to either reboot the PI or stop and start Darkice, both of which starts the stream again. Anyone have any ideas why this is doing this? Just curious.

A mini PC like an older Lenovo Tiny is what I use and I run RadioFeed on it. I have done this for over 2 yrs now and I run it without monitor & remote into it. And it really suits me a lot better than the old laptop I was using.
Trying to cut down on power consumption. So far I've moved my camera server to a Pi, my UniFi controller to a Docker on my NAS, Plex on a Docker on my NAS.. So moving Broadcastify to a Pi was the next step.
Need to get my hands on another Pi to get my Zello server working again.
It'd be nice to restore Alpha Tags functionality, but it's not a necessity.

They make mini-PCs that use very little power. I have 3 feed’s running right now on a mini-pc that runs off 12 volts. If you use a compute-stick, they run off USB.

Yeah, my Lenovo Tiny is a Gen 4 - I5 that I only gave a $100 bucks for on eBay a couple yrs ago. I have CPU-Z on it & it run downshifted to just 700MHz all the time streaming. He could do everything on one mini PC & not have to screw with a bunch of "pies". Which I would find worthless even in a pi cluster computer. It would still be a hamster wheel.

How do you actually calculate your power usage? I run my setup on a OptiPlex 8010 and shockingly with an i7, It only pulls 60 watts and I verify that with an outlet power meter. But like you said, you use 12 volt, so at just an amp or two, you would be using ~12-36watts. Do you know how much power yours use?

I don’t track it but I believe the computer itself is using less than 20 watts since it’s fused at two amps. Its only moving part is a tiny fan. Its an atom based machine about the size of two decks of cards. I have a 10 amp 120v power supply that feeds into a fuse block and that feeds the computer, four scanners and a multicoupler and I’ve never had an issue.

Awesome. Ive always wanted to move to a Raspberry Pi 4, anything USB powered, but the performance just isnt there for the power available.

Just wondering - are Alpha Tags on the horizon at all? Just decommissioned my box in favor of a Pi, but then realized it was at the price of Alpha Tags. Not the end of the world.
I have alpha tags running on my pi 3s using the serial back port or front ubs port. just fine. I can see if I can find the file/ link if anyone needs it
