Hello, I have the BCD436HP, I would like to broadcast it to my phone so I can listen in places where I don’t want to carry around battery’s and a scanner, I need help with broadcasting it, is broadcastify the only way to do this beside zello? I notice that some broadcastify feeds don’t show up on apps and require you to sign in to monitor them, is there a way where I can be the only person who can listen or is allowed to listen to it? I want to broadcast it and this seems easy but don’t want to let everyone else hear, thanks for reading and for any help

Feeds hosted on Broadcastify are public so if you prefer a private feed, Zello is a good way. You can also use RadioFeed or Proscan and host an audio stream on your own network, which can be password protected.

How is radio feed and proscan received, once you broadcast it from the scanner how can you receive it? Do I need a app or a website?
To broadcast to your phone, you would use the built-in web server in ProScan on your home computer, and then use the web browser on your phone to connect to your computer at home and view, listen to, and control your scanner anywhere you have cell service or Wifi.

Using the ProScan radio feed on your home computer, you would need to use the ProScan client to receive that broadcast. The ProScan client only runs on a remote PC, and is not compatible with smart phones.

If your familiar with networking you can use proscan for the server portion, on your router use port forwarding, then you can use a number of options to listen. I have 5 private feeds as well as a few public on broadcastify.
For my private feeds i can use scanner radio (android only allows for custom urls aka the private feeds), winamp (i use this option at work) and a normal URL. I use the URL version to control the 2, BCD996P2 at home.
But it takes some homework on the users end to learn the software and get the port forwarding to work.
The "easiest" one is zello. I have 1 private feed on that using a BCD436 for a medical helicopter which serves the area i live in, and they are on a Motorola Connect Plus system. I have that set up with a password as well and given a few co-workers / friends access to it.
You have options but some are harder to set up than others.
