I mostly monitor BSO in South FL. I understand all of their 10- codes but when they say 10-98 (assignment complete) there is also a letter after that...for instance I'd hear; 98Bravo...10-98 Juliet....10-98 Romeo....etc....What do the diff letters mean after the 10-98?

Thanks

Those are phonetic disposition codes. B=bravo, R=romeo, etc. Instead of saying the individual letters which can sometimes be misinterpretted the use the whole words associated with them. They have specific meanings such as in my area, R (romeo) means location checked, found secure. M (mike) means uniform traffic citation issued(read TICKET!!!). I have a list of local codes somewhere. Maybe if I find them I will copy them down to a text file and paste them into a post. Might be same ones used in BSO (I assume Broward?)

In addition posting here, you could also submit the data in the same way the 10-codes are posted for many of the counties here.

Might take awhile to find my sheet. Had it for a long time. It was originally a copy of the sheets the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Fire rescue use and probably still do(encrypted now) and Clay county uses the same ones too, but the info is used in more counties and/or states I'm sure. Maybe I can scan it in a jpeg file or something. Let me find it first. Check back later this weekend so I can find it.

I have a list of the BSO disposition codes somewhere, but like mbird, I will have to find them. I will post them when I do.

Here's what I have from Duval County. I know that Clay and St.Johns use the same ones too. Attached as a simple text(.txt) file. Opens in notepad on Windows machines.

Not a problem. You may have to figure a couple out that the OCR software didn't convert right and I missed. Easy to edit once saved on your machine though.

I have been monitoring my BSO channel and am now confident that these dispostion codes are different for Broward County....does anyone possible have the BSO codes? Thanks for the Duval though...I will use this when I go up there.

Thanks
