When they get toned out on 156.18, they call in on Morris County TRS Ops Channel. Does anyone know what the reason might be?

Their VHF Repeater system along with voting receivers are being upgraded along with the links being converted from phone line to i believe microwave. The coverage in the town sucks. 45 watt mobiles barely work half the time. So for the time being OPS 20. I havent heard when the work is to be started and finished though. for the sake and safety of the FIRE and EMS I hope its soon and that the new system is much better than this one. Same thing with the Police their system needs a serious upgrade half the times the cops lately are punching radio cards due to not hearing each other or dispatch.

I was looking at the FCC License,and the upgrade will be a Simucast System. Also, the first vendor and

Mt.Olive parted ways after the vendor couldn't finish the job. It went out to bid and a new vendor was hired.

All this information was on the License page,which had numerous pages to the FCC, when they applied for an

extension for more time to finish the upgrade. This upgrade was first bided out in 2014.
