The frequencies are listed under the New Bernheim site (mis-spelled New Bernhaim in the database).

Initial training has started and will continue in the next 4-5 weeks for users if my information is correct. So I'd be anticipating an increasing number of transmissions.
Thats not what i meant. there is more then just the one site in BC i mean what are the frequency for the other sites i know for sure they have built a site near exit 105 on a crown castle tower its not like there simulcasting new bernhiem

There are 4 sites licensed in the county. The state KEWS tower at New Bernhaim, Mt Washington Water Tank, Martin Hill Water Tank near Nichols FD and the Cell Tower near Exit 105 off I65. All of those sites are part of a simulcast system that operate on the same frequencies.

As of about noon today, I am hearing traffic on the New Bernheim site. Can't determine yet if it's actual law talk or not (I'm at work), but definitely traffic where there was none before.

If these sites (additional to New Bernheim) are transmitting versus satellite receivers, they will be simulcast, using the same frequencies as New Bernheim.

I've finished asking around and all indications are that this will be a four site simulcast system. A lot of hills is probably why that's needed as well as the FAA might not permit very tall antenna towers (like what they have in Oldham) because Bullitt County is along the approach path to the airport.

So the DB administrators may want to include "Simulcast" in the site name. Also I wonder since it is now more than just New Bernheim, would "they" want to call this "Bullitt County Simulcast"?

I have heard everything has a go live date of the middle of August. I am sure the dispatchers will be happy. They have been on paper run sheets for the last 2 months thanks to the CAD system in the existing dispatch center going down.

As well as everyone who has struggled to hear the current system. And it's definitely a bummer not getting the calls on I Am Responding. The 19th can't come fast enough!

Thought I would suggest that anyone interested in Bullitt County to be sure they have their scanners updated. Time is a coming and real soon at that.

Also it might be good to set things for ID searching as not all talkgroup IDs have found their way into the database. I've been led to believe that many Bullitt talkgroups will be allowed to affiliate on Jefferson County simulcast.

I'd say there is every intention of changing the current Bullitt County fire stream to the 800 system equivalent. It will be depending on getting the time to do it and the relative priority.

The system is up and running. Luckily there were radio tests for all the police and fire units so I was able to pin down the agencies UID 'banks' (I think). I updated the Bullitt County wiki with the information. I have also submitted some new Talkgroups. I have ProScan keeping an eye on things and will update anything I can in the future. It is sounding good so far!!

I'm monitoring traffic best I can, I'm just close enough to pick up the control channel traffic, but I think I'm coming up short on the voice (need a better antenna), but I'm noticing at this point BC Police 2 is encrypted (almost all traffic is encrypted) however BC Police 1 seems fine, even though I can't actually hear it.

Yeah, you are probably right at the edge of coverage, unfortunately. Police 2 is indeed encrypted. At this point, it appears only Police 1 is clear. EMS is encrypted, just like Louisville Metro EMS is encrypted. None of the fire talkgroups are encrypted.

Police 2 is pretty much a service channel, they run tags, warrants, etc on it. Police 1 is primary dispatch for the county.
Anyone know if a new feed will be done? If there’s no one with plans to run one, I may put one up and have it scan Fire, and Police for now.
