Hello All,

I will be heading up to burning man this august and in preparation I would like to set up a radio to monitor their internal operations.

I have been told that it will be a UHF LTR system that they set up for the week. Anyone know of its configuration?

Pete

Hello,

Searching the FCC database for the area turns up licenses for Black Rock City LLC (The organizers).

The trunked system.
WPTJ877 Class YG using repeaters and 1500 mobile units
461.250 461.550 461.850 462.150 462.450 463.500 463.875 464.175 464.475 464.850

Possibly a bunch of simplex frequencies for talkaround.
WPTT866 Class IG usng 1500 mobile units (25 watt max power)
451.175 451.225 451.300 451.350 451.400 451.425 451.525 451.550 451.575 451.600
456.175 456.225 456.300 456.350 456.400 456.425 456.525 456.550 456.575 456.600

The following licenses were issued after the 2004 event
WQBD866 Class IG using 1 base
152.480

WQBK503 Class IG using Low Power Repeater and 200 mobiles
855.0625R

This was also licensed late in 2004. It looks like one of the Trunked Frequencies could be used for multiple site repeaters.
WQBL770 Class IG using Multiple repeater sites in Gerlach, Empire, etc. and 200 mobiles
464.850
