I will be up in the Caledonia County area soon. I have some questions on some of the frequencies used in the area. I see two frequencies for the sheriff, one is analog and one is digital and encrypted. Does the Caledonia County sheriff primarly operate in analog or digital mode? Also for the Fire frequency 154.2500, do EMS agencies operate on that channel as well. I see a 155.2050 frequency as well listed in the DB but has no tone, what is that channel used for, is it a countywide EMS channel, it appears lisenced to multiple agencies in the county. Thanks.

Caledonia County Sheriff is primary P25 encrypted. I don't recall if EMS is dispatched on 154.250 or not, it wouldn't hurt to program in both.

When did they shut it off. Last time I was there, they were encrypted with that NAC.

I can confirm they are not running encryption. It seems like they used to, but stopped. Perhaps when the new sheriff took over, a policy change was made? Regardless, they (I assume) still have the capability, but do not routinely use it.

The 460.450 is very strong in central VT, so be ready to keep an eye on the NAC. Rutland Co is transmitting very strong P25 on that channel now, so don't be surprised if you catch it up in that area.
