Calls help

So I have never looked into this as I assumed my old Pro 197 didn't support this. but I honestly have zero idea what this "call" is and if and how to add it to my stream. I'm running an SDS200 now for Macon - Bibb Sheriff and Fire. Can someone break this down into layman terms for me please?

Simple explanation - Calls platform is typically SDR dongles and software that feed an entire system (or site within range from the system), RR then takes the feed and restricts anything not allowed.

The Calls platform is separate from traditional feeds, allowing all traffic on a system to be streamed, even if there are multiple simultaneous transmissions. Your scanners will not work with the calls platform as you must be using an SDR. You can read up on it here: Broadcastify-Calls - The RadioReference Wiki
