So, I have been providing a public playlist since the beginning and I believe I have tweaked it to be the best it is going to be. It is a conventional analog system. I do have some interference on occasion but it seems to be minimal (or it is a distant transmission that is too weak to pick up any voice). My scanner feed seems to have slightly better reception but not by much. Generally speaking, I think the audio quality is slightly better on the SDR.

I notice my scanner feed usually has 2-3 times more people listening than my Calls feed that has the same agency. If there is a large incident, it is even more than that. I think many people have the scanner bookmarked and don’t realize there is a Calls version of the scanner feed. The point of this post is that I am thinking of discontinuing my scanner feed and only have my Calls feed. The problem I have is that if I do that, I am afraid someone else will come in behind me and start a new feed that could be worse than what I currently provide. Any thoughts on this?

I like using the Calls to create my own playlists to listen to but my biggest issue with it is I need to load the website to do it. I know the app is not really supported and updated anymore but I really wish either the old official Broadcastify app would be updated to allow us to create/listen to Calls or if someone else would create or update an existing app to allow for the calls feature. I think that would increase the amount of listeners to the Calls platform. But then again I’m just a lowly regular feed provider and I slept in my own bed last night, not at a Holiday Inn so YMMV.

EDIT: I see a “similar topic” listed that the Scanner Radio App has this in beta. That’s great news!! Hopefully the beta goes well and this is a full feature ASAP!!!
