Hi Everyone,

Are there any CHP or Police Officers that on here that can maybe send me a copy via mail or via email/PM me a blank ticket / citation to me? I am doing a project about police tickets in CA for school. Any help will be appreciated.

email = firemanlandon1@aol.com

Are you kidding? Wait, no...probably not.

Citations are numbered and tracked, both by the agency and court. I doubt very much that someone will just send you a copy via email. Show some initiative and go to your local PD or CHP office and talk to a desk officer about this.

You could always take that whacker wagon out on the highway, where I'm sure CHP will hand you a couple of the real deal... BTW, press hard as you are making 4 copies.

Contact the CHP directly they can give you a sample copy. You want to speak to a public information officer, each station has one officer designated for that for press relations.

I'll ask the boss, but I would have to blank out the citation # and the agency name. He'll probably OK it. Can I ask what the project is, or will it lead to a downward spiral flame war that eventually gets locked?

That answers.com one looks somewhat like our citations. I'll grab a
citation tomorrow and scan/send it in the next day or 2.

Umm.. planning on tagging some neighbours cars, are you Landon?

I think if you look on eBay you can find a leather citation book that will attach nicely to the inside of your wagon.

Does it have to be blank?

Why does the citation have to be blank?
It seems like there ought to be plenty of people here who could send copies of their real "live" citation.

It is true that most agencies keep track of each individual citation, so an officer could not just send a ticket off with no justification as to why it's missing.

My department is much smaller, and just doesn't track that, so it wouldn't be an issue.

Blanking out the citation # and agency name was a nod to those that are posting the "whacker" comments (because I knew it was coming), and protecting myself in case it were to actually be used improperly.

Excuse me, sir. I don't appreciate the use of such language on here, and I'm sure the moderators don't either.

You may think that using abbreviations make it somehow acceptable, but they don't. The meaning is still there.

This is a family forum, and the kind of abusive and vulgar language that you have shown in your message to me is clearly unacceptable.

I shall be reporting your post. You would be well advised to watch your tone in the future, lest you find yourself banned.

Thank you.
