would these be extremely low power systems? Im on the north side of Moose Jaw, searching 140-155MHz and I am getting no control channels
Granted, that's not saying Bombardier, or ATCO/Frontenac haven't put their own system in place. Currently only p25 DND radios at 15 Wing are MP/commissionaires .
I will try to get out to the base next week during my holidays to see if I can find more detail on that control channel

I got tons of Petawawa stuff just no time to sit and ID what they are. I need to find someone on base who can get me a list.10396 was heard today with radio checks at Petawawa
I wonder... Since Canadian Forces Camp Dundurn is detached to 15 Wing, and it is a shooting and artillery range amongst other things, if perhaps Dundurn has a tower as well and is linked ( or will be linked) to 15 Wing?

10326 some type of Fire activity on this talk group for CFB Petawawa lately. Using this talk group while fighting fires on the edge of the range and Algonquin Park.
I got out to 15 Wing today. Spent 1/2 hour sitting in the Canex parking lot. I had both a psr-800 and BCD396xt monitoring the reported frequency of 148.78. there was nothing but dead air on the channel. not even a control signal.
current assumption: when BCScan came through, they may of been testing , but the site is not currently in operation..yet.
I'll keep a ear open for it
That's what it seems like. I'm only in the area periodically so I've only been able to find info here an there whenever I can in hopes that someone else may be able to fill in some gaps.10320 - 10329 are probably all Base Fire channels.
If you go back, scan from 138-174. The system may change control channels to spread the load out onto each repeater that makes up a site. Just because you heard nothing on that channel, does not mean the system was not on the air.
