Anybody monitor the forces? Anybody got a freq list for the forces in Southern Ontario? There is a great site Canadian Aero Comm listing air base freqs, but can't seem to find any air-air, tactical, Army, or Navy freqs.

CFB Borden is the nearest base to nova1010.. where CFB Trenton and Borden are pretty much a tie i would think from the city.

Trunk Type: Motorola Type 2 - VHF
Base Config 1: Frequency 148.300/Step 15/Offset 541
Base Config 2: Frequency 149.635/Step 15/Offset 546
Base Config 3: Frequency 150.245/Step 15/Offset 382

They have everything on their system, even housekeeping, but I think the most interesting would be as follows:

Mil comms or milair, I think, are a bit hard to come by for us Canadians. Unless you live close to CFB Borden or Trenton, it may not be worth monitoring, or very frustrating if one listens daily. If there are some listeners near CFB Cold Lake (fighter pilot school), there would be activity there for milair as we saw on Discovery's Jetstream earlier this year....I wonder if they're doing another season for it ??? CANFORCE does have some HF (shortwave) but I would imagine those would be even harder to catch !

Just my two cents...

30-60 is used by mobile and handheld, so unless you are close to the base you won't hear anything.. I do not believe they use HF comms in borden but there is a lot of helicopter activety so you might want to search the mil air range.

What about Meaford Ont? I believe it is still a training camp, last I heard it is they do manouvers there and train tank operations there. I did hear military comms on 46.120 am mode a long time ago I don' t know where they were though.

When i saw one of their cars they had 2 antennas. One larger one on the trunk, and looked like a 900mhz on the roof. Was very very short

You wouldnt be able to monitor them unless they're in the field as they are a reserve unit and do not do police type work.
