The BCD996T has "Close Call Do Not Disturb".

That's far better than having almost every transmission interrupted by Close Call on the BCD396T which makes it annoying to use it.

If you need (or desire) a handheld, go for the BCD396T. Otherwise, I think the BCD996T is a better choice.

Better yet, one of each!

Why can't they implement Close Call Do Not Distturb on the 396T? That's pretty much the only thing I really wish they'd "fix".
