Just an FYI --

Since my local LE went ENC I have been looking around the radio spectrum and stumbled on a CAP+ site on 154.235. It has numerous LRRP messages during the day with the most of the activity being in the Rockville area along I-370, I-270 and MD 355.

Whatever they are their top speed seems to be 20 - 35 mph

Snow plows? Golf carts? Buses? I have no familiarity with the City of Rockville, but maybe there is no place in town where one is allowed to go above 35 mph. And since LRRP is used and the vehicles can be tracked, I'm sure those driving those vehicles likely try to avoid going over the speed limit.

Rockville does have its own parks department, water and sewer, and road crews - they have no need to get anywhere fast.

I checked this system at 07:50 local this morning and only 2 units were pinging. Google says that the units coordinates contained in the DSDPlus.LRRP file were in a parking area not far from the Montgomery County Police Dept. building, see attachments --

Never mind, my view shows it as City of Rockville Public Works, 14645 Rothgeb Dr.

I recognize the area. The rectangular building (dark roof) in front of the larger building used to be the former Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center before they moved to a larger facility in Derwood, MD around 2013. I want to say that is a county owned property with a agreement with City of Rockville.

That freq corresponds to what is on the license for 200 mobiles, and one of the two control stations uses the 14645 Rothgeb Dr address.

Something tells me that somebody should be listening to the FB2 output freqs as well:

They have anywhere from 200-260 mobiles/portables licensed. 25 with paging.

156.1875 FB2
158.85 FB2

You'd likely get more data if you listened to the FB2 stuff, including talkgroups, but may not get LRRP on them. Who knows.

Looks like they refreshed this system as trunked (YW) in June last year. Used to be conventional (PW.)
