West Wildwood is a borough unto itself. It has it's own police and fire departments and i believe Wildwood City Fire EMS provides EMS services. Wildwood City does provide dispatch services.

Cape May just filed slow growth applications for their two SY licenses. If they're lucky, they may have part of a system built out by the end of 2019.

As per a friend of mine at Moto, the slow-growth application is not going to effect the initial infrastructure deployent. As long as the towers & data are in place, that will begin within 30 days.

This system will be direct tie to the state (i.e. - Union County). I'll reach out to the other admin that pre-staged this system as a separate system so he can delete that...

Do you happen to know what digital system they are using is it apco 25 phase 1 or 2 I have not heard anything on what system it may be.Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize for being testy, I did not read your post title that was looking for Lower, I only read the post itself. I assumed you were looking for Cape May as a whole not specifically lower.

I can't talk about Lower Twsp. but I KNOW Cape May ISN'T going on the system anytime soon. They're still self-dispatching and have rebuffed the County's offers to take over!!!!

Thanks for the information. If you do hear anything on lower twp police in the near future could you please post I am lost at night not knowing if they are on an encryption frequency or not still waiting to learn more details.So what to do should I purchase new scanner or just hang up the hobby.

Yes they are now trying out digital radios not sure what system,they are using.Analog not being used any more only on ch#2 look ups for license checks and other stuff have not heard anything on ch#1 just static.

As of today Lower Township was working on Ch-2 today for look-ups still.But not all the time,they are using there new system,because I live on a main side road in the Villas where they stop a lot of cars and there not using Ch-2 then.Hope this helps?

Lower Twp. does not have their own 700MHz frequencies. They are on the NJICS system & you need a scanner capable of monitoring P25 Phase-II to hear them.
