Cape May Lewes Ferry

Just purchased a BC796D I'm interested in programing all talkgroups under Delawares 800 system that covers the ferry operations which is listed as Delaware River & Bay Authority. My question is this do I have
to program the entire system or can I just program this particular talk groups. I also read that this is under
the Sussex site on the system

You can program only those talkgroups that interest you. I would program the site that is closest to you geographically, and the one you can receive the best with your setup

What site would be close to Cape May ?

Probably Rehoboth or the Sussex County site. I would go with Sussex County Site as it is probably closer than Rehoboth but buth will probably repeat it because I can heard the ferry at my house in Rehoboth.

Does the Lewes tower carry the same SSX main system freq's or a different set?

You shouldn't have any problem hearing the Sussex TRS in Cape May or Lower Twp. I get solid copy on my P96 with the radio shack 800 antenna while in that area, even inside the car.
