I see that Scanner Master and Uniden both have cases for the SDS100. I had a Scanner Master case for my 436HP and am considering getting their SDS100. Before I commit, I'd like some comments from users of either brand of case.

Thanks.

I give a thumbs-up to the ScannerMaster case. Its belt clip is metal--a lot sturdier than the plastic factory clip.

Thanks. I'm leaning to ordering the SM case for my SDS100, but just wanted a bit of input. I'm insecure I guess. ;)

I can vouch for the Scanner Master hard leather case for the SDS100. Nice and sturdy, good protection. Heavy duty with swivel holster. Best case for this scanner, guaranteed.

I chose the nylon case and its been working for me . My brother has the leather and commented that is gets warmer than the nylon for he owns two of the sds100 and own both cases . FWIW I think either will work fine .

I concur that the Scanner Master cases are the best with the metal swivel belt clip. I did have to bend it a little bit so it's easier to get on and off of the belt.

I have the hard leather for my 436 but for the 100 I use the nylon case. I like that there's holes punched in it and if you use the disc on the back of the radio it gives you plenty of room for the vent on the rear of the radio to breathe.

I still keep my BC 250d in it's nylon case, is the same as your scanner except the digital chip was removable and optional, it probably came out about 6 months before the 296d... It too, looks brand new.

The case came today and I put the scanner in it. It's well constructed, as was my 436HP case. The case does make the scanner run a bit warmer, but certainly not to "hot" to touch.

I also got the jonwienke SMA-BNC adapter yesterday. That's well made and does everything it's supposed to, most importantly the fit, which is better than the OEM adapter.

Finally, the battery charger and battery came the other day but I waited until my birthday to open it. That's a neat package as well.

I continue to be very happy with the whole package.

I picked up the soft leather case from Scanner Master.
Works great. Antenna clip keeps it in the case. Not bulky at all. It also works well clipping to my Lido mount seat wedge.
