I'll let it run for a few hours and post results. Of course, today being Sunday, I don't expect a lot of activity. Here's a screen grab of logging for TG 2 so far. I've also received several other TG's on both sites.

Definitely neat. Not sure if you seen my other posts but I received the following Talkgroups:
1
2
3
4
5
12
16
17
19
20
28
45
46

Am I able to do this with SDS100 in Sentinel?

Sentinel doesn't have a logging feature. So far, 12 and 20 are the most active with most TG's transmitting from both Altamont and Brunswick sites.

Same here but only on Brunswick. 12 appears to be the STAR bus and 20 appears to be new model buses higher 4000's. Do you know what the difference is between a service channel and a default channel? The other day I heard a dispatcher state a particular talkgroup a driver was on (28) was a default channel and that the driver was supposed to be on a service channel (1).

I am unfamiliar with what those designations may mean. "Service" could relate to either radio system service or mechanical bus service. I've only gotten 5 hits on 28, and one hit on 1 since 11 a.m. With any new system under development, there will be unknowns until it all shakes out and the RR database is updated.

Do you hear anything on 28, all I get is silent hum as a transmission no voice? Being this is a new system, is that what it means by "build-out"?

I've had the volume muted while logging so I can't say 28 had voice. Transmissions lasted anywhere between 12 and 39 seconds. Build-out means a system is in development. I haven't monitored their old UHF frequencies in some time so I can't say if their still active. If not, CDTA has completed the migration to the P25 system.

I received a 25 and 29 about two weeks ago but never saved it and never seen it pop up again, I know 17, 45, and 46 are brand new from last week. As far as their old system, three of the four channels are gone, was going to see if the one is still standing tomorrow. Are you using any Filters, location, or other settings?

I don't use location control on my 536. All other settings are default. The Unication G5 has no settings that would impact the quality of the received signal.

Yeah something must be wrong with my 100, I barely pick up. I went from Troy to Schenectady and back to Albany.

You should consider purchasing a Remtronix 800 MHz antenna with the SMA connector compatible with your SDS100. I have the old BNC RadioShack version that I've used with my G5 and an appropriate adapter. It's an improvement over the stock G5 antenna, and even bests the upgraded G5 antenna in performance.

Are you still docking the TG's? Just started using the new Remtronix today.

I haven't logged this system since Monday. My primary purpose was to determine if the same talkgroups transmitted on both Altamont and Brunswick sites, and I determined that they do. I logged TG's 1, 2, 5, 12, 15, 17, 19, 20, 28, 46, and 47, with 12 and 20 being the most active. I think your reception will improve significantly for both the CDTA and Albany County P25 systems with the use of the Remtronix antenna.

Thank you for your findings, I haven't heard 15 or 47 yet. Fingerscrossed with this antenna!

Do you have a copy of your log still by chance? I would like to see something regarding UID's.

took a trip to Troy yesterday, picking up the CDTA Brunswick transmissions on 787 at I90 clear as a bell on my 325p2.
