Ok, so going back to the original question/reported issue with nothing being heard , the direct import should work from Sentinel (assuming current updated library/database). The only "adjustment" I would make would be to enable "ID Search" vs. the default "ID Scan" as was mentioned.....but even without "ID Search" enabled, you should hear activity if in range, in the area (long enough) and have a good install of the ProVoice option (note: I believe the radio will still suggest that it is tracking the system even without the ProVoice option properly installed - you just won't hear anything).

You can use someone else's HPE file (mostly to take advantage of his radio IDs it seems) but that should not be necessary.

Correct, The Sentinel Version will work.

The fact that the op had no results with it could go back to my previous note that the Provoice upgrade did not get activated. If that were the case the user would get nothing at all except maybe some tones on FD Main nothing else. (Speaking from my personal experience)

Hope you get it working!
Let us know what you find..

As for using "someones" HPE file instead of the DB Version, why start in Kindergarten (DB Version) when someone has already posted the answers for 12th grade freely. IMHO Just trying to help here. {Not just UID's/Actual TG's that are not in the DB}

It's definitely not a ProVoice issue, as I receive other ProVoice systems without a problem. I have the Cecil County EDACS set up with the site NFM, and ID Search on. No voice traffic. I'll give that HPE file a shot when I head down next week and see what happens.

By the time you cross into Delaware (Coming from N Jersey) You should start hearing something.from Cecil County (if not sooner), Unless there is some other issue...
Good Luck, Anxious to hear that you got it working!

Any update on this?

I drove through Cecil twice today with the Cecil County system imported directly from the library - no tweaks or modifications - lots of activity - no issues at all.

I've been having trouble receiving this lately as well, its worked for me no problems in the past with bcd436 & 536. Maybe I messed something up in my programming.

WQIV917 ???

I've been having trouble receiving this lately as well, its worked for me no problems in the past with bcd436 & 536. Maybe I messed something up in my programming.

I've noticed that I'm also receiving less. Perhaps Cecil is making changes to the system, maybe moving antennas or changing power output levels.

At one time I could put my radio just about anywhere in my house and get good decode.
Now I have to move it around (or even go outside) to find that sweet spot.

Maybe they are prepping for the P25 System switch-over???

There is a new FCC license.

I think if your in Cecil Co, you may not notice a thing. But if your outside the county you may notice changes..

I initially thought that one of the firmware updates affected decode, Now I'm leaning towards a possible change in Cecil's Edacs System.

Anyone else having issues, Or have additional insight?
At any rate, It does not appear to be a programming error. It's more likely a reception issue.

Hmmm, they dropped their vendor and planned to move to FiRST- or at least explore the idea.

They might be making some routine system adjustments.

Sounds normal here in CC with no dropped conversations and strong signal.
Just not very busy lately.
Some of the outlying radio locations like Cecilton,Harford Cty are Base receive only for the mobile
units linked via cable line.No VHF transmitters at those sites.
Maybe when they get over to 700 someday those same area State FiRST tower locations will transmit as well.

There is a Cecilton ASR in the works for the FiRST system.
