The Cedar Point feed is up and seems to be working pretty well.

- I'm picking up a local amateur repeater on one of the operations frequencies. I triple checked that my scanner is programmed correctly, so it must be some sort of reflection.

- The ops channels are simplex and not through a repeater, so I'm only receiving the base side of the conversation for those channels. The repeater channels come in very strong and clear.

- I'm on a temporary antenna setup, within a few weeks I will be on a directional antenna about 20' higher than the current one.

I hope everyone enjoys - please share any feedback you have.

Great start! I heard a callsign on the ham repeater - did you ID it from that?

It took me a few times to hear the ID correctly, I believe it's KA8VDW in Norwalk, OH - which is maybe 15 air miles from Cedar Point. The output frequency I'm finding of that repeater is 442.675. The frequency that I'm hearing it on is 464.37500, Operations channel 1 - and that's about 20Mhz off. I'm using a directional antenna pointing right at CP, the Norwalk repeater is probably a good 30 degrees off, but I'm sure it's putting out a bit of power as well.

That channel is pretty sporadic, and it's base/mobile so I only hear the base side usually anyway, so I'm probably going to lock it out for now until I can figure it out. I'm afriad people will get confused and go away if they hear ham traffic.

This was what I found:

However, it looks like your info might be more accurate. That would make a lot of sense too, as the yagi I'm using points right towards Huron. I wonder if a better scanner would be better at filtering this reflection.

In the meantime, I'll block that channel.

Yes, my father has to lock it out for me, the scanner is at his house about 1 1/2 hours west of me. He's going to do it later tonight or tomorrow morning.

The ops channel with the repeater bleed-over is locked out - let me know if you still hear it - I haven't yet.

My father moved out of state so I no longer have a place within range of CP to locate the equipment. I own some vacant land in the area, I've thought about throwing up a short tower and a shed to host that and some other feeds, but it's pretty low on the list of things to spend money on!

Oh okay. Im a huge Cedar Point fan and would love to hear ride ops. Ive always wanted to bring my scanner to the park in a hotel but im from canada and fear being questioned while crossing the border
