Columbus, GA, has a new ballpark to accommodate the Columbus Clingstones (don't ask), the new double A Braves baseball team. Anyway, this is beyond the left field fence. What is it? The "mesh" is the netting that separates the fans from the field. The photo was taken from behind home plate.)

Looks like cellular to me. Pretty common to disguise them as something else. Looks like they may use that as a flagpole.

I know just where that tower is! It is indeed a cell site used by both Verizon and AT&T.

Had to look it up! The name "Columbus Clingstones" for the Braves' Double-A affiliate is an homage to the clingstone peach, a popular peach variety known for its flesh that stubbornly clings to the pit. This symbolizes the team's grit, determination, and commitment to the community, according to Diamond Baseball Holdings. The name and logo also embrace the peach as an iconic representation of the state of Georgia

Thanks. I sorta thought it was.

Petereye, they fed us that information when they announced the name of the team. In spite of Georgia being known as the "Peach State," Clingstones are not grown here. Well, there's supposed to be a small orchard of them near Macon. We grow freestone peaches. Clingstones are mostly grown in California.

I have seen worse names, however. Macon (GA) used to have a farm team named the Macon Whoopee. Back when the Esso Petroleum Co. was in business, there was a team in California known as the Esso Bees.
