Also they stated initially that it works within an 8 foot radius, then they state it will work throughout a 3000 square foot house. Well which is it? There is a big difference between the two.
We have enough issues with the "legal to sell, illegal to use" cell amplifiers.
My other question on this device is will the phone always be operating at max power? If I'm not mistaken, in normal operation in connecting to the cell site, the site controller (?) will limit the phone's RF output to only what is need to maintain a connection. Is this correct and if so, what happens when a device now putting out 600 mW rather than 100mW interferes with other devices trying to connect with a nearby cell site?
why not just use a standard cordless phone with the legit legacy magic jack?
Subscriber RF output based on RSSI, RSSI based on capture effect. Capture effect wins just like frequency re-use concept.
I think what the Sham-Wo...I mean Magic Jack CEO is saying is that the 8ft radius is for the initial connection only, then the coverage expands to 3000 sq. ft.
I shall purchase one of these units as soon as one becomes available, and will not seek any "authorization" to use it.
