just wondering what are my chances to listen to coms from cfb trenton in sarnia for fighter jets talking to tower or air to air coms

Probably slim to none unless they're at high altitude.

Most planes talking to the tower would probably be taking off or landing and not at a high enough altitude for you to hear them.

so basicly most of the fighter jets that i would get would be from selfridge angb

Having lived in Trenton for 20 years, i have learned that when arriving they talk to Terminal on 128.4 and once handed over to tower (128.700) when they are close, usually within 20 miles and at an altitude of about 8,000 ft. once they depart they leave the tower fairly quick and are switched to high alt enroute freq's. I only hear them within 40 miles of Trenton. The only milair i can hear other than local Trenton traffic is the Refuelers over New England. fyi and my 2 cents
