It appears that Sector NCR CG112 and CG409 have gone ENC full time. Seems like that change may have happened on Thursday.

Not sure what area you're in. I can hear the ground side of CG Sector Maryland/NCR on CG Net 409 412.9750 [$293] in the clear from the DC Metro area. It depends on what area you monitor from.

If you haven't already, take a look at the USCG Wiki - RR and also monitor the air-to-air and air-to-ground comms in the mil-air band and marine channels (Particularly the "Coast Guard only" channels).

I know last time Sector was in the clear on CG409, but all USCG Helos from AIRSTA Atlantic City that I hear on it are encrypted

Ok, I can confirm normal ops. There was a lot of big E activity recently which is out of the norm for my QTH. That activity was on both 112 and 409 here.

Possibly associated with prep and execution of the Trump address earlier this week. What would have been interesting is the CG use of the FIRST system now that the DC ASR is operational - they probably had cache radios available for use.
