APX Channel Selection with RSM

We recently upgraded fro XTS5000 with Commander II RSM to APX6000XE XE500 RSM.

On the old radios, they would be on the channel that th RSM was on, no matter what , even on boot up.
On the new radios, the radio is on the channel the RSM is on UNLESS you turn on the radio from off, or reboot it. It then will boot up on the channel the radio itself is on, regardless of the channel the RSM is on.

This is a problem for many of the guys because they typically have the radio in their coat and want it to turn on the last channel they left the RSM set to.

I can't find any setting in the CPS addressing this.

Is power up on last selected Zone and channel Checked under radio ergonomics wide?

Edit: Reading through some documents, you can lock out the radio ch knob with accessory

I ended up selecting "Power up on last selected" AND "Channel control lockout with RSM" lock radio only.

Seems to accomplish what I needed.

Just remember, lock out with RSM will 100% disable the radio knob until the RSM is disconnected

Not up to me.
Anyways in pocket or under coat on he strap, the channel knob on the radio itself is inaccessible, so they like to use the knob on the RSM
