BCD436HP/BCD536HP: charging question

when i plug in my scanner (which is turned off) to recharge the batteries, a message on the screen says "charge off" ... does this mean it's not charging? how do i change that? thanks for reading.

Yes that means your acanner is not charging. Try turning it on whole plugged in. When it asks serial mode or usb mode turn it off and it should ask if you want to charge it.

Get an external battery charger: AA Rechargeable Batteries and Charger

Don't charge them in the scanner
