I love the 150! I use the bluetooth to listen through my hearing aids, I use my iphone as a remote head in the car with the u/aware app.
SO WHY CANT I REMOVE THE BATTERY!!!
Uniden, how can you make a scanner at this level and SCREW UP THE BATTERY REMOVAL!!!!!!
This should an almost thoughtless process and here I am trying to figure out a way to change the battery without doing damage to the lock arm. WHAT???!!!
C’mon UNIDEN, you can do better than this!
There should be a tool for this.
I’m hoping someone replies and says “relax, all you have to do is this”……..

relax, all you have to do is this.......

Squeeze the bottom of the battery into the radio and unclip the battery clip. This is the same for the SDS100 and the SDS150, and I never had (or have) an issue with either one. I hope this helps.
This...plus I use my thumb and pull it down.

My SDS150 battery latch also is extremely tight, and I am unable to release the battery by hand. A coin or large screwdriver in the slot works nicely.
The latch is definitely a little tight but after a few battery swaps mine loosened up quite a bit. Guess I'd rather have that than a latch that won't hold.

To open the battery latch on either the SDS100 or SDS150, I put the unit facedown on a flat surface and put some pressure on the back of the battery. I find the latch opens more easily that way.

Yep definitely did just that the first couple times. No longer necessary though. Comes right off with minimal effort now.
