Hi, can the BCD436HP charge less then 14 hrs?

In the scanner, most likely. I do not have the charging specs on the scanner but my Opus BT 3100 charging current can be selected to be 200mA, 300mA, 500mA, 700mA or 1000mA (1500mA and 2000mA can only be applied when only slot 1 or 4 is selected).

I learned a long time ago to get a buch off batts and keep them charged. Eneloop are good but pricy. Same batt in Ikea brand Ladda are 8 bucks. I am going to actually try the Harbor Freight batts for the same price.

I also have a few 26800mAh Power Banks that give me a long time of listening.

The total charging duration will be directly proportional to the cell capacity. The larger the capacity, the longer it will take to fully charge.
