If you read the Duke Energy thread linked in post 7, the new system will be mostly encrypted. Monitoring may be a moot point.

It's part of the fun, some of us who are listening to it enjoy finding new systems, mapping them out, building a list of who is who, what is what. It isn't just about listening to the traffic but about finding and mapping out the newly discovered system.

If someone doesn't map out and figure out it is an encrypted system using TDMA control channels, and submit it to the database, we'll see multiple posts over the years saying "I found a new system" or "why can't I hear this system".

Oh yeah the CC are TDMA encrypted. There will be no talkgroups in the clear for sure. 100 percent encryption what what I have heard from many of people in the Motorola industry that I talk to from time to time.

This system continues to be set up in NC/SC, but what I like about this encrypted system is the OTA alias for RIDs that we see, and location data that can sometimes be decoded using DSD+ FL (sorry guys free version does not work, pony up the $25 for lifetime updates).

This new system is in the database and goes across multiple states. For those interested updates are posted in the below thread, if you have DSD+ FL I encourage you to join the hunt.
