Hello,
I've actually had a lot of luck with Encoder. The problem may be with your home network settings for port forwarding. I run Linksys and had to go into it and specify opening port 8080 (both UDP and TCP). Unless you do that the feed can't get past your home network and out to the net.
Also, if you're using your own PC as the audio host and finding your suddenly offline every few days, you'll need to give that PC a local static IP address. The 192.168.1.1:*** changes each time the lease on the address expires. In my case I just set it for 192.168.1.11 and it never changes. There's instructions on the net to show you how to do this at

Lasty, the new versions of Norton were set by default to not allow outbound traffic on Encoder which results in no one being able to pull your audio. The fun part is Norton didn't make it generally known that this change was in the newer versions. I found out by googling and came across some articles that explained the problem. So, you may need to go into Norton program settings (if that's what you run) and make sure you've "allowed" inbound and outbound traffic.
Good luck and hope this helps!
