Does anyone know what happened to the CCFD West Repeater (159.09) on Blag Mountain? This frequency is where I used to hear short reports, status updates, etc. for CCFD/Cascade ambulance calls in the Dryden/Peshastin/Leavenworth/Plain/Lake Wenatchee and Steven’s Pass areas. I moved out of the area 4 years ago and I noticed that the channel has been dead at least the last couple years when I’ve visited. I’ve heard tactical traffic on the tac gray repeater (154.34) which is also on Blag Mountain overlooking Peshastin/Leavenworth but nothing from “West Repeater” I guess my question is what frequency is command traffic on for the western portion of the county now.

I’m receiving everything else just fine on my APX7000, TK-5220 and BCD396XT. I’ve heard plenty of tone outs for CCFD 9 and Cascade ambulance but I don’t hear short reports on west anymore on any of my radios. Idk what my issue is. Just now Cascade was toned for a breathing problem on the Chumstick and I didn’t get anything on 159.09

Well I've since moved back to the area and figured it out.

Changes have been submitted to the DB. It appears that Rivercom has reallocated 155.1225 which was the output of the "Butte Tac" repeater on Chelan Butte as the new output of the Fire West Repeater. The input frequency hasn't changed, but the Rx PL out of the repeater is now 146.2, not 192.8.

The input to the Chelan County Regional Justice Center (jail) repeater is now 159.1125 which was the output of the "Badger Tac" repeater on Badger Mountain above East Wenatchee and appears to also have been reallocated.

Unknown if those tactical repeaters have been decommissioned or are using new frequencies.

This is kinda related....

While digging around for some other Chelan County stuff, I came across this license:

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - WRMB482 - Lake Wenatchee Fire-Rescue

It appears to be a repeater on 155.7225 and licensed by Lake Wenatchee Fire/Rescue. The location shows the King County Stevens Pass PSERN Site. I suspect it's used for their responses up there.

But, I don't live in the area anymore, and can't confirm it's use. Are you able to plug it in and take a listen? If confirmed, perhaps another addition to the database.

Thanks, Brad

I recently noticed that too. I live in Wenatchee and I just don’t think I’d be able to hear it from town. But I’ll throw it in anyways.

Thanks. You're probably right - only intended to cover the pass area, and perhaps down as far as Lk Wenatchee. But it's VHF - never know what it'll do.

Wasnt installed AFAIK. PSERN site costs extremely prohibitive. Think they are Crown Castle. LWFR couldnt afford.
