A trusted fellow listener has advised that he has heard preparations for the Chicago Marathon on Sunday as well as ops during the Abbott 5k run in Chicago this morning using the following talkgroups on this system TRBOconnection-TRBOnexus Trunking System, Various, Multi-State -

65001 - Chicago Marathon preps
65002 - Chicago Marathon preps
65003 - Chicago Marathon preps
65004 - Chicago Marathon preps
65011 - Chicago Marathon preps
65015 - Abbott 5k
65016 - Abbott 5k
65017 - Abbott 5k
65018 - Abbott 5k

I've added these to the Radio Reference database page for this system as rental / special events talkgroups. I would not be surprised if there are other such talkgroups set aside for this purpose in the 65001-65018 (and higher?) range.

I think this was the first year that this system carried Chicago Marathon radio traffic. Previously heard and documented rental radio talk groups on the Radi-Link system. United Radio in Bridgeview sells and leases this service:

Had this Comlink programmed in my 996P2 to listen to the bus traffic and copyied about 15 or more TGs as programmed by Kevin, pretty good monitoring of the race production, TY Kevin
