Thank you to all Wiki-contributors, especially those who regularly create new pages full of good information.

One request regarding the creation of new Wiki-pages, though:

When creating a new Wiki page, please follow the standard page-naming convention of completely spelling the word "County".

(Using fictitious names for this example...) If you want to create a "Fire/Rescue" page that relates to "Anywhere County (NY)", then please do not abbreviate the word "County", as shown in this example:
Code:
Please avoid this style: Anywhere Co. (NY) Fire/Rescue
Please use this style..: Anywhere County (NY) Fire/Rescue

The reasons for this request are:
  • completely spelling "County" allows all of the pages related to the primary county page "Anywhere County (NY)" to sort correctly in system-generated lists.
  • assigning a non-standard abbreviated page-name to a new page, makes more work for other people, because someone has to correct the name, and the correction-process results in a blanked-page which the Wiki Admin, W9BU, must later delete.

Thank you for your consideration and again for regularly contributing lots of good information to the Wiki.

Best Regards,
