those are low profile, but otherwise youll have to keep the antenna on the scanner in the car...which wont help much for chp freqs

Disguise Antenna

I still use an AM/FM disguise antenna cut for 42 MHz in one of my cars.

did that improve ur reception that well mick? i had one of those and noticed it didnt do a thing for me in the lower vhf

Works perfectly, it's a little longer than an FM antenna, and it's a professional grade antenna that I have on that car. On another car I use just 18 inch whips and have used it all over Calif. for CHP monitoring with excellent results. Anything on the outside of a vehicle is better than using an antenna on a handheld inside.

Mick, will that window mount antenna peel my stock tint if i remove it?

as mick said - its hard to beat a vhf qtr wave antenna for chp scanning

it does well on chp vhf hi band and uhf and 800 and will receive chp thats in your area esp if simulcasted
i prefer NMO
