A trick available in **SOME** areas to hear the mobiles when the dispatcher has the system out of manual-repeat mode is to determine whether the CHP Area Office radio system uses monitorable RF links for their various receive sites, and if so, monitor the remote receiver link.

For example, CHP in Monterey County has a bunch of 72MHz links still active.

I expect in most areas, the remote receiver site audio is fed to the regional comms center via microwave or fiber.

So is the 72Mhz repeated? To bad my scanner doesn't cover that band looks like their is one in Soledad 72.24000 . Or else I'll give it a try

General info

Atlas Pk. Grape and Blue are currently TX disabled.
Grape on Berryessa Pk. looks like it is being used.

Atlas Pk. has had a broken antenna for some time now, don't know what freq it is on.

How do I know... CHP shares the sites with agencies I work for.
