I realize there's a data base and I should probably be able to figure out how to monitor Springfield public works comms but I am still unable to do so. Does anyone have any helpful hints on where they have disappeared to? I was trying to monitor the snow plows back on Friday but was unable to find them. I'm not a novice at this and have some years under my belt at scanning but this one has me stumped. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

I tried but still no success. I'm trying to get it figured out. I know CWLP went to a capacity plus system not monitorable by what I have, but I don't believe public works has made that move.

This page lists the control channels and such, maybe it will help you?

Are you programming manually or trying to use Zip code here or what? Also what scanner are you trying to get this on?

During snow falls I monitor IDOT and not the city. I typically don’t monitor the city’s TRS but I turned it on after seeing this post. I heard public works on TG17. I didn’t realize CWLP has a new system. I still hear CWLP linemen on 451.250.

Hey guys, thanks for your input. Much appreciated. After listening for quite some time I did start hearing traffic on TG17 just like you said. Now whether or not they use that one during active snowstorms, I'm not sure. Yes CWLP supposedly has a Motorola Capacity Plus system so I would need a more current scanner to monitor that. I was not aware they were still using 451.25. Thanks for mentioning that. I'm using and old GRE PSR500. For the most part I can still monitor quite a bit with it.
