155.22 city fire is gone too because I didn't hear the usual 7:15am radio check routine this morning? I've been listening since 5am this morning and haven't heard any of the three must be gone?

I live in Poplar Bluff and have had no problem hearing all three but the PD did have some radio issues for a few days or so & they appeared to reduce the RF output during that problem. The long squelch tails (which had been getting longer and longer and more irritating) are gone now.

Some things you might want to check:

1. Antenna connections and adapters (make sure they are tight).
2. Check a NOAA station and see if it comes in about the same signal strength as normal.
3. Double check your frequencies, CTCSS tones (if used), modulation types, etc..
4. Hopefully it is not your radio going south on you.

I do not believe that the PBPD is going to "Mototurbo" is correct. At one time RR also had that the PBPD was using Mototurbo on it's TAC channel but it is actually using ENC P25 (according to Pro96Com program that I ran on it). However, things can change, perhaps at one time the PBPD was planning on going to Mototurbo and who knows it might decide to go back to it.

According to the DAR (local newspaper) both the City and County have been given the money to upgrade their radios to allow them to use MOSWIN. However, AFAIK they have not stated to what extend they will use MOSWIN. It could be just for interoperability or just a few TGs or like Sikeston all traffic runs through MOSWIN but we will soon know.

Good Luck!
