I know their is no chance on the Thames system, but anyone know the repeater freq for them when they are within a couple blocks? I seen the post before but cannot find it :-(

Iv always gotten them with in about 1km or visual range with a stock portable antenna. Was much better when i had my MRK thou

Yep.. they always have been.
They only work on Operational thou.. so when units switch to Tac, CIRT, Querry Court, or any of the other 6 talkgroups they have in the radios you wont pick them up.
I was told by a tech that this was a temp thing a few years ago and it was going to be fixed one day... Guess not yet.
Was also told then that they will be getting computers in the cars in a few years aswell too.. but have yet to see that.

sonds like the rptrs are set to default to the operations channel rather than following the selected TG.
