So far the system is in still being tested and a few HT's (Moto APX7000's) are in use with leadership. Mobile equip is being installed and tested. Still looking at June/July'ish turn on for real ops but no LTR cut-off date set yet. P-25 needs to prove itself before LTR is shut off.
P-25 projected to improve HT coverage to >98% of the county. A rather bold statement given the frequency and lack of added towers. We will see...

I'll be in the area towards mid to late June.

Starting to see some activity; TG 600 all encrypted, TG 300 a few transmissions in the clear possibly Fire Rescue.

They haven't switched to the new system yet. They seem to run into delays all the time when building these systems. I have seen what I think their radio id's are pop up on the Jacksonville system .

I was in the Jacksonville area Saturday and did not hear anything on that system only the current system. The new system has a strong control channel signal along I-95 in St. Johns and Duval County.

Unfortunately yes. But we already knew that from discussions and the testing phase.

Currently everything LEO related is P4 (protected/encrypted C4FM)

The 300 groups are public safety and are not encrypted.

From what I can guess sofar
300 - Public Safety Dispatch
301 - PS TAC
306 - ?

402 - Primary Dispatch (possibly north if they broke back into N and S but may be combined)
406 - ?
414 - ?
416 - ?
417 - Support?
433 - NCIC?
434 - ?
437 - ?
600 - GC Police?
700 - OP Police?

Additional screen snips for anyone interested. I restarted my capture and stats today (once I realized it was live)

I've logged 403 users and 23 groups since this morning. Here is a small portion via screen capture and I've attached the XML export.

Bummer on the encryption. I was in Fleming Island last week and didn't hear a thing on the couple of occasions I turned on the 436 (programmed a FL before coming down). Are EMS and FD encrypted as well?

Are they still simulblasting on their 154.205 VHF frequency?

That can be a simple way to monitor without programming in the whole system if you're just passing through.

The simulcast is still on 154.205, it never did include the vehicle side of the transmission. It's only for TG 300.
