I'm trying to program a scanner for Clay County. I know they use LTR Multi-Net....bummer. I've looked at the database and have a feeling most of the conventional information is outdated.

Can any current listeners tell me which conventional public safety frequencies are still used?

Thanks.

I know it's a PITA, but I've heard of Clay residents that have had moderate success by scanning the LTR freqs in conventional mode and hitting scan to follow the conversation.

Might as well try that. Unfortunately I'm programming a scanner for someone else and I have no way of testing it here in Tampa. Oh well.

Clay County, FL

You are correct about Clay County Florida being on LTR Multinet. I've no idea why RadioReference publishes their Public Safety trunk frequencies since they are unusable. The best you can do in Clay is program the EMS/FIRE conventional frquencies and listen to the initial EMS or FIRE dispatch. You cannot hear any responses and LEO monitoring is impossible.

If you find I'm wrong, please let me know wassup. I pass through Clay County regularly but don't waste my time scanning anymore.

Clay Sheriff's Office can be monitored by scanning the LTR freqs conventionally with each channel set with NO delay. Like I said, it's a pain, but can be done.

When I used to drive to Jax every night, I kept Clay freqs in my scanner for monitoring only if I rolled up on an accident on US301. Otherwise, it's just not worth the effort to listen to routine traffic.
