Clearfield County

Hopefully you can help me with this question, my local local police department here in DuBois PA went to a digital radio dispatch through Clearfield County. so using my analog scanner won"t work.So to solve the problem I purchased a Uniden bcd536 and using the zip code programming, I figured this would solve my issue. I updated the latest Sentinel software but still nothing. Radio Reference has Clearfield County as a P25 system (digital). I monitored that frequency for 3_4 days and only received a couple transmissions. I am using an outside antenna and live about 15 miles from the tower Why can"t I receive more traffic? Did I buy the wrong scanner? I know Clearfield County is not encrypted. Someone told me this might be a DMR system?? thanks for any help.

I am in Allegheny County. I can pick them up, sometimes. I used to hear them on 454.475 analog. I will have to keep a listen to it. 454.500 is listed as P25.

You should have no issues hearing them. The system is P25 Conventional. Make sure your radio is in P25 format !!!!

Is the fire P25 as well or just the PD? I used to pick them up here at my house in Allegheny County. But, I have not monitored them in several months. What are the frequencies for the fire and PD?

It is only PD.
454.035 fire dispatch, analog
454..500 police,P25

Don't forget you need the NAC code. Think of it as digital PL.. The code is 005
