I recently restarted the tags on my feed Hanover, Louisa, Goochland, Caroline and Henrico Counties Public Safety. Just before actual audio and just after the audio stops, there is a clicking sound every second such as a timing feature associated to something.
This pc is an older one that uses XP. I use ScannerCast RR Edition VO.14. The scanner is an older 996T which does not have the clicking on its own speaker. I have installed an Ground Loop Insulator in the audio line to the pc just to be safe. I have checked and rechecked everything I can think of. I have researched and researched and checked anything that MIGHT be the problem without success. I have broken down all connections and replugged. It "seems" in my memory that it may have started around the time I switched back on the tags. But I turned off the tags and no change. I monitor my feed normally using WinAmp and the clicking is there whenever there is no "reaL" audio from the scanner. The actual clicking is running -60 to -40 but I have watched it go to -27.2 and just sit there until audio is presented by the 996T. RealTkt HD Audio Manager is used simply for levels. No audio boosters, etc., are used that I can find. PC audio comes in on pink aka mike input.
The actual volume control on the scanner is at 2 and the speaker control on the pc is at 50%. Audio peaks are at -2 on the audio program with real audio from the scanner.. The actual audio at times can sound strange with highs on a digital station such as VSP.
I hope this is not to long as I am trying to relay information that might "click" within someones memory.
Thanks
Ben
