Close Call on 396XT

Can anyone confirm if close call on a 396XT does or does not capture and display nearby P25 transmissions?

Yes it does.

I agree. I get p25 hits all the time.

However, if you have the scanner set up to decode CTCSS/DCS it will not decode P25.
It can do one or the other but not both.

Close Call will pick up any nearby transmission regardless of the modulation used if you think about it. It'll even pick up a ProVoice transmission, just won't decode it obviously.

Thanks for all of the responses. Very helpful. One last question, will the 396XT in close call display that the captured mode is P25 or will it simply indicate NFM?
