Is Cloud County using NXDN? They are licensed for it but it is showing as FM in the database.

Could that be what their County Road Department went to?
They used to have a very robust UHF but that was years ago.

A few years ago I noticed that a lot of analog licenses that got renewed came back with analog, and also NXDN and/or DMR emissions. Idkb if the FCC was just including those for free or what.

The FCC doesn’t just include emissions. It’s whatever you apply for.

Well then it was likely new emissions that were not an option 10 years ago, and everybody just checked all the available emissions boxes.
