Now stations Charlevoix and Alpena will fall under the command of Sector Sault Ste. Marie.

Charlevoix was under command of Sector Lake Michigan, in Milwaukee, and Alpena was under Detroit.

Sta Alpena is pretty good duty if you're burned out from sar all the time.

Keep in mind that Sta Alpena is auxiliary operated. With the exception of the active duty supervisor (used to be a BM1 assigned to Sta St. Ignace), and any reservists that come in for the summerstock detail, all of the personnel at that station are volunteers.

I never pulled duty up there, but I've listened to them when I've been in the area. They're pretty active/busy on the weekends.
