• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Short answer, NO. You would probably spend more time editing a pre-made codeplug than you would creating your own, not to mention that there are so many different versions of firmware, PPS, and models of pagers that it would be hard to include something for everyone in such a database or library.

Thanks, I was just curious.

There are many people on here that will be more than willing to help you, not do it for you, if you are having problems. Additionally, in this thread there is just about any question you might ask, spend time with the search option and you might find it, if not reach out and ask.

Unication actually did once have such a site, but appears defunct now - log in is broken and buttons lead to dead sites. It coincided with the scanning beta firmware.

But, you're certainly better off building one fine tuned to you. Especially after the PPS V4 changes, worth having a from scratch, for you one.

Same here seems like it will make life a whole lot easier Pretty much answers my question. Thanks Guys
I've received a lot of help here on RR, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on the Unication's. I'm only about 6 months into my "Unication journey" but, while it's been a learning experience, it's also been great. I'm no stranger to programming certain radios and such, but the Unication PPS actually helped me learn more what to do in setting up scanners somewhat. Good luck!

I was playing around with the tabs a little last night getting some practice with the tabs. It's a bit of a learning curve at first but seems to get easier as time goes on.

Not necessarily with basic programming but, with trying to make it do more than it's supposed to actually do, I still have questions. Guys on here have made the Unication's be all they can be, and fortunately are willing to help!

I wasn't even aware of that one to be honest, however, there's only one more recent one (from 2025) and honestly while it might make a good starting point for someone to look at how things are done, I think people are better off maybe sharing things within them selves. Not that a person couldn't send something "wrong" also virus wise but I had a couple sent to me and I've sent a couple out here and there and have not had any issues between myself and members here.
