Thanks for this post! I was just checking this forum to see if I could find out what the Clearance Disposition Codes were and there they were!

If I could get a clean nice looking copy of this, I could make it a PDF and repost and make it more user friendly.

So I got bored...

If you really want it on orange/yellow paper, just load that color paper in your printer.

Those dont have the priority codes

Does it matter? Unless something has changed in the last few days, the priority codes aren't used over the air.

Does anyone have a copy of the most current 10-code for CPD? A new code sheet was released a few days ago and the PDF on the CPD website doesn't have the updates...or at least not all of them. For example, a 10-37E denotes an explorer on-board. I've also heard 10-49B, but I'm not sure what they were referring to there...possibly prescription drugs?

As long as we're talking priority codes, anyone know what it means when the dispatcher says "race priority"? I hear that all the time on CPD dispatch.

I actually find it odd that so many departments are still using codes in general. The NIMs push that the whole country is going with says no more codes just plain english. Most fire departments have adopted this and have stopped using codes, but police seem to be less conforming, lol

NIMS does not require any department to drop codes.

Yes, there was a big push for that back around 2006. However, that requirement was loosened - now you must only use plain english when operating with outside agencies that do not use the same codes.

To requote my above comment - no they didn't. I think you misunderstood NIMS.

They said "no more codes during a mutual aid situation." They specifically noted that they can be used in day-to-day stuff.

I think they're saying "raised priority" and I assume it means the call has been raised to the top of the queue.

Do you have any citation to this alleged directive from the FCC about ' no more 10 codes'? I follow such directives pretty closely and I have no record of it nor can I find it in my files.

lep - it doesn't exist. He just misunderstood the NIMS directive.
