I live in the Dundalk area.

As for 461.7, its been silent for the last half hour or so, so I guess that's not it.

They're on call 24/7. :)

There might not be as much going on at night, but its possible to hear something at any time.

I know. I work for Comcast :) You are not going to hear much, if anything, at night. Most use Nextels. We use both radio and nextel at my location. Search the 450-461 That's most likely where they will be.

Thanks for the info. I'll check those freqs and see what happens. BTW, my father used to work for Comcast, at the Essex office. I know alot of the guys at that office. You work at that one?

Nope, I work down here in SE IN and we are currently converting to Comcast. We were just recently purchased by them. I know suprising :) Which system are you looking for? I'll make a few calls tomorrow and see what I can find out for you. Although, you can probally just walk up to any tech and ask them if they have radios or nextels.

I don't know exactly, but I'm looking for either Comcast in Baltimore County, or Maryland if their frequencies are statewide.

Verizon freq

As I used to work for Verizon here in the old state of Maryland I know that they do not use radios for communications. They get the calls thru computers. Some divisions have computers with cellular access but for the most part the use copper to transmit. When I say copper I mean a landline. Most techs will find a sac box those little green boxes in every community to grab a pair of wires to hook up too. Then they can send and recv the calls. If they have to call the office they are usually never to far from dial tone. So you will little luck finding any frequencies regarding verizon. Im not saying they arent out there but they hardly used.

Still haven't found any frequencies for Comcast. Anyone else have any idea what they might be?

Comcast in the Detroit area (and others I'm sure) use Nextel only.
I have had enough Comcast techs in my house (3 or 4 at once a couple of times) to know there is nothing I want to listen to:)

I'm only interested because my father used to work for them, and I just thought it would be interesting to keep up with what's going on. I figured it might even save me a call when the cable goes out. I could just listen to their freq(s) and maybe find out if there's an outage.
