BC296D: Comm port change?

I can't find anyplace in the radio menu to tell me what comm port the BC796D uses for communication with a computer. I need to have Comm Port 4 to communicate with my computer. I have search this forum and don't find any mention of it. Any help here?

It is not set in the radio, it is set in the software to match the port where the radio is plugged in. You need to determine which port you are using and make the change to the programming software.

Look in Windows Device Manager to see which port the PC has assigned to the scanner.
