Like I mentioned early on. You really should assign drive letters way up the chain so that they don't change. I'd start with I or even J. So J, K, L respectively. You do that in disk management. Reason being is that if you power cycle a drive or disconnect a drive and then power on the remainder drives, drive letters can and will change. The problem is exacerbated if you use thumb drives and what have you.
After you assign drive letters to one powered on HDD at a time, mark on each HDD that drive letter.
